More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

HU3A for the semi-retired & retired

CLICK ON THE POSTER ABOVE TO SEE IT FULL SIZE

HU3A
stands for Uni of the 3rd age
meaning the 3rd age of your life
or after your working life
not as
in the age of aquarius!

I've included this as several residents are members of Hackney U3A and a lot of residents fall into the appropriate age bracket.
As I'm a little over 50 & semi-retired that includes me.
