More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

blog stats this week

Nearly 600 post views this week, including 3 views each from Iran, India & Singapore!
Perhaps these are Londoners on holiday? - let me know if it's you!

Surprisingly, 24% of viewers use an Apple Mac (as I do) as Apple only have around 1.7% of the market share (2010 figures).

I'll take that to mean a greater percentage of viewers of this site have discriminating taste (you'd have to pay me to use Windows instead of Mac OSX)

The last 2 or 3 days (19th & 20th May) have seen most of the traffic
