More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

Huge collection bus & train photos

I've just come across the most incredibly huge
photographic collection of buses and trains on Flickr

...while looking for shots of Clapton in Hackney.

UPDATE
I originally posted they were Creative Commons copyright which is not correct.
Andrew did have them as CC non-commercial-attribution but found them being sold as a collection. Even now some are on DVD's without Andrew's permission.

However, Andrew will give permission for the odd shot to be used for a specific purpose and will send the original jpg.

Here's a taste - this is less than half

All credit to Andrew HA
