More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

Bargain bookbinding workshop last 2 places

Sat 1st Sept - 10am to 4.30pm
(Venue within 2 minutes of Clapton Pond)

Only 2 places left - reserve your place before they're all gone - email: workshops@claptonartstrust.org

With professional artist/printmaker/bookbinder Katy Goutefangea.

Make a multi-sectioned hard cover journal, diary, sketchbook or notebook for yourself or as the perfect personalised gift.

Katy does a lot of preparation and has a range of prints you can select from to use for the cover. That is, if you don't have your own print (eg wallpaper print or fabric) or artwork for the cover.

These all day workshops are great fun, more creative than you might imagine and a real bargain at £45 (plus £4 for materials), as they are usually £70.

In addition, the trust is offering complimentary Clapton Arts Trust membership to participants on the day, so discounts on future workshops and events can be had.

Don't miss out - this offer is unlikely to be repeated at the same price
